Tomintoul Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, created this small batch bottling by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in ex-bourbon barrels which are then married & finished in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez sherry butts from Andalucía, Spain. In contrast to Tomintoul's lighter style, the ‘finishing’ creates a richer & more full-flavoured expression. Awarded a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2024. 40% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Nose: Aromas of sweet treacle and dried figs mingled with malt loaf, raisins and baking spices. Palate: Layers of fruit cake and banana bread followed by marzipan stuffed dates, toasted walnuts and sultanas with hints of clove and cinnamon. Finish: Cosy notes of Danish pastries, cocoa powder and syrup sponge cake fading to a warming oak and tobacco linger.
