Notes from the distiller... Produced by Sullivans Cove Distillery, Hobart No. 4 single malt gin harks back to colonial times, when spirits were produced using local ingredients on small pot stills. Hobart No. 4 is produced from the same spirit used to make Sullivans Cove award winning whiskies, lending weight, body and malt character you’ll appreciate from the first sip. As well as traditional juniper, this richly textured gin is flavoured with four native botanicals; Lemon Myrtle, Anise Myrtle, Wattleseed and Tasmanian Pepperberry. Hobart No. 4 is perfect on the rocks with a wedge of pink grapefruit, or in your next classic gin cocktail like an old fashioned or negroni.

Tasting note: Crystal clear. Mildly peppery lift includes aromas of thyme, sweet oregano, liquorice root and hints of lemon butter. Aeration emphasises the citrus aspect as lemonade alongside mild cardamom. Light piney / junipery entry leads into a smooth, middle weighted profile with dominant liquorice root, light cardamom and vibrant pepper. Ends fresh, herbal and liquorice root-like. 44% Alc./Vol.
