A delicately sweet PX expression with impressive peat reek. The spirit was laid down in a large-format cask and left at the front of the distillery, where it spent two years moving through Nagambie's heat and cold. The result approaches Caol ila in style. Mouth-warming, borderline succulent, with hints of baked citrus, smoked dark chocolate and oily peat, drying with smouldering potpourri and lingering chilli heat. Sherry helps to smooth out some of the bristly spices. Nicely balanced uncut; adding water amplifies the texture and releases more of the oils. 58% Alc./Vol.
