Scheer Velier 11 Year Old MMW Wedderburn Continental Aged Cask Strength Rum (700ml)

These fascinating Scheer-Velier bottlings were originally released as comparison sets (Tropical and Contintental aged bottlings). The concept was to showcase the differences between Continental versus Tropical aging. As the name suggests, they were created in collaboration between Dutch independent bottler 'Scheer', and Master Blender and renowned rum guardian and advocate Luca Gargano of Velier.

Totally aged in Europe, the contintental version was produced from a blend of two casks filled in 2008 and 10 casks filled in 2007. With an end result having an ester content of 243.5 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol, these are big rums with strong personalities.
