Santis Malt Kamor Edition Single Malt Swiss Whisky (500ml)

From a distillery in the Swiss Alps at the foot of Säntis mountain. The facility started out as a brewery and its distinctive approach makes use of beer barrels for whisky maturation. This edition was aged in ex-Appenzeller beer casks, ex-Bierbrand casks, and a range of wine and fortified wine casks including Sherry, Port, and Bordeaux. The high-altitude Alpine environment and the cask provenance create a whisky unlike any other Swiss or European product. Other reviews... Aroma: Fine smoky notes, slightly earthy and slightly bacony. Hints of smokehouse, malt, vanilla, and toffee. Overall, a rather restrained, fine, and well-structured nose.
