Ron Matusalem Platino Rum (700ml)
Other reviews... Matusalem Platino describes itself as a "dry rum" but it doesn't seem to be so. It does have a crispness normally associated with dry white rums but at the same time has more sweetness than one would expect. It does resemble agricole rum slightly. There seems some vanilla to it along with a nice medium burn to it. It also appears to have a little butteriness to it as well. Now the finish is pretty dry leaving a little tingle on the tongue. Overall a good mixing rum. Definitely recommended for fruit-based cocktails, especially those heavy on citrus. - rumratings.com
Clear appearance. Fragrant cotton candy, mocha, and coconut cream aromas. A silky entry leads to a dryish, light-to medium body with fruity, toasted coconut and subtle spice notes. Finishes smoothly with a dry, yet fruity, aftertaste. A brilliantly balanced and flavorful white rum. Gold Medal, 91 points (Exceptional) - tastings.com
Offers aromas of molasses and cocoa bean; additional aeration brings out bittersweet vanilla bean. Palate entry is sweet, viscous and intensely bean-like; by midpalate, the flavors also include molasses and raw sugar. Finish is long, sugary-sweet and bean-like. 85-89 points - wineenthusiast.com
