Tasting note: Deep amber topaz. Varnishy with some sherry sweetness emerging. Hints of apple and dried pear, but by no means overtly fruity. There’s a slightly thin, metallic feel in the mouth. Recovers definition through the aftertaste with some attractive stewed pear and chocolate notes, but lacks the vibrancy and fruit of Groult's other bottlings. 936 bottles. 46% Alc./Vol.
