Pale straw / gold colour. Intrigueing scents of fresh crushed herbs including thyme, sage, rosemary and dill are delivered with a gentle nose prickle. Entry is creamy followed by a sweet herbal amalgam building to a very concentrated spicy burst at mid palate. Exceptional balance at 50% ABV. Finish turns pleasantly bitter, contrasting nicely against the initial sweetness. Aftertaste remains bitter-sweet with the herbal theme continuing at length. A wonderful old world digestif.
