Marking the return of one of the distillery's most awarded releases, this whisky showcases what can be achieved with Spanish Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks and the signature elegance of Overeem's spirit. As with the inaugural release, Batch #2 feels more vivacious than most other PX matured single malts, and perhaps the better balanced for it. Instead of a predominance of sweet dates and heavy caramel, we have a malty, bitter chocolate profile, the spiced fruits leaning towards prunes and middle-aged brandy, the sherry sweetness rallying late - a solid example of a whisky where PX has a milder, more judicious impact. 52% Alc./Vol. Tasted from a 25ml sample.
