Sixth release in the Master Blender Collection, this 21 year old rum spent a solitary year in Pedro Ximenez casks after 20 years in ex-bourbon. A first for the distillery, which is interesting given how long they have been active. The main drive behind the idea for this release was to see how an already mature rum handles PX influence. It was limited to a year so as not to over-oak the rum, assuming the previous 20 years of tropical aging didn't achieve that! Objective achieved, according to the pundits, describing the result as round and heavy with plenty of stewed fruits, salted caramel, maraschino cherries, and a very long finish. Only 4200 bottles available worldwide, and next to none making it to our shores. Non chill filtered and no added colour. One bottle only from a private collection. Don't miss this unique opportunity! 45% Alc./Vol.
