Mezcal Amaras focus heavily on terroir, and it shows in their products. For this edition, the agave 'Cupreata' was harvested from the mountain slopes in the Rio Balsas basin, between 4,000 and 6,000 feet above sea level. It takes the Cupreata about 13-15 years to mature. Following mashing and open-air fermentation, copper pot distillation takes place. The resulting mezcal is summed up as "Herbal and fresh". 41% Alc./Vol.
