Maxime Trijol 150th Anniversary of the First Family Still Limited Edition Cognac (350ml)

A very special bottling to celebrate 150 years of growing and distilling by the Trijol Family. Trijol has included some of his finest Grande Champagne reserves in order to create a statement piece worthy of six generations of labour. To further emphasise its provenance, it comes traditionally packaged in an 'antique' style waxed-dipped bottle.

Tasting note: Bright topaz / flashes in the glass. Wavers before releasing a stunning perfume running a gamut of all things fruity: dried fig, ripe red fruits, peach and ripe apricot; Further aeration accents honey, vanilla cream, dark chocolate. 5-10 minutes dries the bouquet, adding hints of cedar, cinnamon and nectarine. Super-silky, nuanced and feminine: Mid palate features a burst of dried fig and honey. Graceful and understated, becoming more succulent towards the finish, focusing on stone fruits / fig / apricot. Ends more off-dry and savoury, with hints of orange spice cake, baked pear, cocoa and rancio through the aftertaste. Deceptively long. Draws comparisons with Delamain's house style. It gets better with 15-30 minutes air contact and is worth every moment of patience. In short: a very special tribute cognac that's lovely, composed and elegant. 40% Alc./Vol.
