The latest release of Laurent Perrier's NV Ultra Brut is based on the 2014 vintage, disgorged in 2021. Offering up aromas of sweet buttery pastry, peach, iodine and hazelnut, it's medium-bodied, ample and fleshy, with bright acids and a chalky finish. Time sur lattes and on cork post disgorgement have rounded out any hard edges to deliver a very suave Champagne out of the gates. Drink 2023 - 2028.

This is very dry and vinous with very fine bubbles that wrap themselves around the wine. It's full with lovely fruit that is subtle and encompassing on the palate. Caressing texture and finish. Some pie crust and dry biscuit undertones here. Also white pepper. The base is 2014 and bone dry. Six years on lees. 55% pinot noir and 45% chardonnay. Bottled in May 2021.
