Founded in 2021 by Shanghai Baccus, China's biggest producer of RTD's (ready to drink mixers), Laizhou Distillery is located in Qionglai, Sichuan. Before construction began, the designers visited more than 100 distilleries worldwide, ensuring that Laizhou captured the very best practices from across the global industry. With notes of pear, apple, honey and grass, 'Finest Select' is considered the ideal introduction to Laizhou's core range. It comes matured in a combination of new oak, ex-bourbon and ex-PX sherry casks, but there’s also some Chinese fortified wine casks in the mix. On the palate, it's soft and elegant and mildly fruity with the alcohol barely noticeable. Ultimate easy-drinking in the Asian whisky category. 40% Alc./Vol.
