Kirei Mannen Junmai Ginjo Sake (720ml)

Kirei are based in the town of Saijo in the Hiroshima prefecture of Japan's main island Honshu. This Mannen sake is made using a cooler and longer fermentation than is the norm with intention of creating a sake with more body while maintaining excellent freshness.

Tasting Note: Pale lemon colour. Aromas are moderate and take some encouraging in the glass, but they are very fresh showing green fruit, apple, pear, watermelon rind, along with some faint earthy notes of mushroom and milky tones. With air some citrus notes of ruby grapefruit emerge. On the palate there's good weight and a touch of umami texture, with flavours of ruby grapefruit, orange zest, green apple, along with mild earthy notes of mushroom and bonito flakes. Would be a great food match. Serve chilled.
