Jean Luc Pasquet L'Organic Folle Blanche L.XIV Cognac (700ml)

Originally from the west of France, the Folle Blanche grape is likely native to the Charentes and has been grown in the region since before the first recorded distillation in 1630. For two and a half centuries, it was “the” grape variety, contributing enormously to the reputation of French eaux-de-vie, cognac, and armagnac. After the phylloxera crisis, the grape of choice in the region became the Ugni Blanc. Pasquet have since replanted a section to Folle Blanche in Grande Champagne, which they harvest, vinify and distil separately. Every year they produce between 4 and 5 casks of 100% organic Folle Blanche eau-de-vie. L.XIV is the latest in the series, matured for ten years in French oak.
