Henroit Brut Souverain Champagne

Rich and airy with a dry chalk tinged finish.

Made from a blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier using 30-50% reserve wines with ageing on lees for a period of 3 years. A fine, lacy mousse slowly dissipates to reveal a pale straw coloured base with gold tinged edges and a nimble bead. Aromas of citrus, yeast lees and baked bread drift through the nostrils followed by subtle oily toast like notes and chalk. Rich, airy flavours of baked bread, yeast lees and citrus meld into an oily toast and almond background. Dry, chalk tinged finish with crisp acidity and a gently creamed aftertaste of ample length.
