Francois Voyer XO Grande Champagne Cognac Carafe (700ml)

 Tasting note: Produced on the Voyer family's estate, planted to just 28 hectares, located inbetween Verrières and Ambleville in Grande Champagne. This is a full bodied 25 year old Cognac with attractive though restrained aromatics of ripe apricot, fig and subtle cocoa / dark chocolate notes accompanied by hints of vanilla and clove. The palate entry is soft and clean with very good length, continuing the dried fruit theme. Fine, drying tannins add freshness and finesse. The aftertaste lingers with clove and vanillan oak followed by a touch of anise. Good broad appeal style. 40% Alc./Vol.
