Fleurieu Distillery Never a Dull Moment Single Malt Australian Whisky (700ml)

At the Fleurieu Distillery barrels are not just numbered but named too. In this case, the barrels were dedicated to the collective personalities that went into creating it: Krissy, Viv, Anna and Carolyn – women whose humour, encouragement and generosity continue to lift and inspire the Fleurieu team - hence the title, "If ever all four were in a room we could guarantee Never A Dull Moment!" Following a spell in larger format American oak, the whisky was transferred into Apera casks. Deep gold to polished brass in colour , the aromas are soft, pure, attractive and malt-forward with notes of dried apricots, dilute vanilla and spice. The profile falls in the mainstream of Australian Apera matured styles, with light peach and apricot muesli character through the malty middle and a well balanced finish with hints of still-ripening apricots, salted water crackers and a warming mouthfeel. 1320 individually numbered bottles are on offer. 47.6% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers.... Colour – Bright copper in colour. Nose – Light maple syrup sweetness with hints of marmalade and white chocolate. Palate –Mouth-watering toffee characters, sweet fruit spice with a maritime salt finale. Finish – Lingering toffee and luscious mouthfeel. Undeniably a sip and savour whisky!
