Coombe Estate Sparkling
A blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir with a portion fermented in 1 year old French oak. A frothy white head disperses quickly to reveal a very pale straw coloured base that has a steady stream of fine bubbles flowing through it. Pear and yeasty bread like aromatics combine followed by some baked apple and citrus notes. The palate is amply endowed with pear and red apple fruits which are complimented by some bready yeast lees and citrus characters on the back half. Good concentration with a crisp, mouth watering finish.
