Compagnie des Indes "Great White" series started out showcasing unique terroirs and distilleries globally. Two expressions from the Dominican Republic have landed, produced from pure sugarcane juice and bottled in France without chill filtration. The "Original" has an entry-level ABV and a bouquet resembling agricole or Clairin, less the pungent intensity; Grassy, caney, waxy, white-pepper-laced notes are echoed on the palate, finishing warm, vibrant, dry, vaguely briney and grappa-like.
