Chateau Arton Les Reserves D'Arton Poire Eau de Vie (700ml)

An artisanal fruit brandy (eau de vie). Chateau Arton use estate-grown, heirloom orchard pears known as “Passe Crassane”, macerated for several months and then distilled in a simple still with continuous heating to capture the fruit's fragrance. The lifted bouquet includes tart pear, dried apple and faint touches of cinnamon. Easy in the mouth with a crisp, semi-ripe pear character (more skin than flesh) followed by hints of unaged grappa and white pepper through the cleansing finish. Try it chilled or straight as a traditional digestif. The producers recommend shaking the bottle before serving to maximise the aromatics. 42% Alc./Vol.
