Chateau Arton La Flamme Cask Strength Haut Armagnac (700ml)

A single vintage estate-grown brandy aged for 18 months in new oak before resting for 8 to 9 years in used barrels. Expressive on the nose, the aromas and flavours lean into sherried single malt territory offering a melange of dried fruits and plums framed by vanillan oak. Compared to the distillery's 'Reserve' expression, this is spicier, more mouth-filling and more robust. The trade-off is on elegance - so not necessarily 'better', rather, an alternative house style that should appeal to Armagnac traditionalists. 1,350 bottles were produced at a natural strength of 47.6% ABV, reduced solely through evaporation in the estate's humid cellars.
