Chak De (Chakde) Blended Canadian Whisky (750ml)

Inspired by the famous Punjabi expression, "Chak De". In literature, it means ‘Go for it’. NB Distillers, based out of Welland, Ontario, Canada are behind the label. The whisky is designed as a crowd pleaser with "a hint of pepper and vanilla mingling with citrus zest and a twist of cinnamon" - which is as good a way to sum it up as any. The Canadian influence comes through with soft whiffs of vanilla wafer on the nose, while the palate is straightforward though, nicely weighted and rounded. A pleasant oiliness contributes some Irish pot still character early on, before pulling up with slightly bristly spices. Vanillas linger through the aftertaste. 45% Alc./Vol.
