Burdekin Distillery is located in Majors Creek, Queensland, at the foot of Mt. Elliot within Bowling Green National Park. The area is a hub for sugar cane growing, providing the key ingredient for its rum production, which includes both fresh cane juice and molasses-based spirits.

This newer release under their Distillers Edition series has spent two periods of maturation in Rutherglen Muscat casks. Firstly, two 100-litre barrels to gain some increased penetration from the oak and fortified wine, then into a 300-litre hogshead to allow the process to unfold a little slower. 43% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers...
An initial nose of creamed honey, figs, and sweet vanilla shortbread lengthens into a rich honeycomb scent. Nostalgic aromas of musk lean into stonefruits and baked peaches in vanilla cream, layered with warm brown butter, cinnamon-spiced pudding and subtle cocoa. An outstanding combination of cane rum and muscat barrel delivers a rich, flavourful and viscous mouthfeel, a sweet nose and a smooth, dry oak aftertaste.
