Situated in the historic town of Cuneo in the foothills of Italy's southern Alps, Bordiga is an artisan distillery devoted to producing Amari, vermouth, and liqueurs. Their Aperitivo is a delightfully complex alternative to more mass-produced examples, made with only locally harvested ingredients and not a single imported botanical in sight. Expect notes of bitter orange, rhubarb and alpine herbs, with a beautifully balanced sweetness and lingering bitterness. Fantastic in a spritz, or over ice with a wedge of orange. 16% Alc./vol.
