Blacks Triple Threat Blended Irish Whiskey (700ml)

Blacks Brewery & Distillery from Kingsale is a young player on the world whiskey map (first distillation took place only in 2015). As the name suggests, this three-casked whiskey was aged in bourbon, sherry and virgin American oak casks. The profile offers keynotes of vanilla wafers, cream-filled tea-biscuits and bubble gum, followed by hints of short bread and apple meringue. It's a classically supple, medium bodied, relaxed Irish blend that shows nice purity and poise. 40% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Nose: Complex summer fruits cross paths with fresh cinnamon buns to greet the nose. Palate: Initially spicy but quickly mellowed by notes of caramel, butterscotch and vanilla. Finish: Medium length as lingering hints of dry fruit and caramelized sugar continue with an oak spice finish.
