Blacks Rocketship IPA Cask Finish 8 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey (700ml)

A malt matured in Rocketship casks that previously contained IPA beer. This is the most robust expression in the Black's line up, though by most Scotch single malt standards, still a middle weight. There are lovely flashes of pristine, sweet barley that glaze the tongue with gentle oils bringing a deliciously rounded feel. Hints of cherry chocolate too, plus a lipsmacking finish with faint but lingering wood smoke. Quality Irish. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 43%.
