Arlett Tourbe (Peated) Single Malt French Whisky (700ml)
Keen eyes will notice the label says "Tourbe" (pronounced 'tuʀb') which means 'peat' in French. In this case, a delicate, earthy peat - on the nose, neither overwhelming nor immediately obvious. On the palate, it takes on a dry-ashy-chocolatey character suggesting cocoa and choc ripple cookies; Subtle notes of bitter orange and Jaffa add complexity. Almost like 'Ledaig-lite' - never heavy and not aggressively peaty, but satisfying enough to drink straight. One for those who enjoy lighter smoky whiskies or simply something different for peat lovers. 43% Alc./Vol.
Notes from the producers... Nose: The highly aromatic nose opens with iodine and smoky licorice notes. Mouthfeel : The attack is clean and straightforward, but airy with hints of ash. The attack is clean and straightforward, but airy with hints of ash.
