There are several expressions of Angostura No.1 in a series, each subject to a different wood regime and identified by 'editions'. This is the second, and comes aged in two types of used oak, initially x-Bourbon oak for ten years followed by six years in French oak, the latter reportedly held cognac. As such, it is the first-ever Angostura rum to be finished in French oak. The profile extends through nuts, dried fruits (dates, figs) and subtle floral notes. 40% Alc./Vol.

The initial sip opens with a gentle, natural sweetness that is rich without being heavy, setting the tone for a beautifully balanced drink. Its smooth, polished character carries through the palate effortlessly, finishing clean and refined with no harsh edges.
