This is no exception from Adelphi's usual standard, opening with aromas of honey drizzled barley, toasted cereals and ginger snaps; there's a twang of sulphur and just when you start thinking it could be better, the honeyed delivery thickens up and becomes the signature flourish on the palate; Rich malt and ginger biscuits follow. Water fluffs up the profile nicely while retaining all of the key-note flavours. No recent Adelphi release comes near the price/quality ratio on offer here - especially considering the provenance (the secret source is a Speysider that rhymes with 'Bothes'). 174 bottles only, specially labelled for Flight Club Australia.
