The basis of a good Vermouth is a quality wine, and South Australia is known for its rich reds. At 78 Degrees, one of their preferences is old vine Grenache, which brings notes of raspberry, blueberry, chocolate and tobacco to their contemporary Rosso Vermouth. A generous handful of traditional Torino roots, herbs and spices, stored since the 1960s, add vanilla, spice and a rounded herbal tone. The late addition of anise myrtle and quandong adds a signature Australian flourish with sunrise lime and finger lime included to cut through the unctuous nature of the Grenache. 18% Alc./Vol.
