Light and energised with a supple mid palate feel and a dry, gently tangy finish.
An organic blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre. Pale salmon pink in colour. Peach, raspberry and strawberry scents ascend from the glass with good aromatic lift followed by some pomegranate, wet stone and subtle blood orange notes. Light and energised with a supple mid palate feel, peach, citrus and blood orange fruits are underscored by stony mineral infused acidity. Dry, gently tangy, stony mineral laden finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Grenache and Shiraz from the Rende Vineyard, with Mataro from Lennon. It’s a 60/20/20 split . Fermentation took place across three vessels: amphora, concrete sphere and stainless steel. Full malo. Time on lees. Corbett takes rosato very seriously, though he does that for all his wines. The subtitle is ‘Botanic’ here, though we will just keep it simple for the purposes of DB integrity, which is a very important thing for me (and CM too, and I’m proud of him for that, so I might give him an honorary IT sheriff’s badge one fine day). I’m drinking it from a Zalto Burgundy glass, as an aside. Bottle when empty (which won’t take long to achieve, given) is 370g.
There are two important points to note for this wine. The first is a light chill is all it needs, and the second is it’s usually ‘better’ with a year or two under its belt. And the unmentioned third, is to serve it in a big glass. Now I’ve got that out of the way, we can move on. It’s a more savoury and serious style, somewhat nutty, sporting a fine powdery and dusty grip to texture, a blood orange and pomegranate tang, some rosehip and red fruits, liquorice root, a la Nebbiolo in a way, a layer of spice, a certain umami and saline thing here, offering a bright and fine finish of excellent length. Vinous and complete. A banger. Drink 2027-2034+
