2026 Nicks Secret UH Reserve Clare Valley Riesling

A stellar Clare Valley Riesling that combines superb concentration and drive with laser like tension.

This reserve wine is sourced from a super premium grower in Clare Valley and highlights the very best parcel of Riesling from the vintage.
Brilliant water like colour with a faint greenish tinge to the surrounds. Leaping out of the glass are intense lime juice, Granny Smith apple and lemon scents trailed by some talc, orange rind, wet steel and chalky mineral notes. The mouth watering palate is a concentrate of lime, lemon and green apple fruits which are underscored by orange rind, chalky talc and steely mineral elements. Zesty in it’s feel it boasts superb drive and tension. Crunchy acidity with a long super scrumptious finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

The fruit here is solely from the Gaelic Cemetery Vineyard in the Clare Valley. The team note that this wine highlights their best parcel of Riesling. Gin clear, this is beautifully fragrant with aromas weaving through limes, honeysuckle, wet slate, jasmine and citrus. A stunning nose, the wine is balanced with great length, intensity running the full journey. Good energy here with juicy acidity. It should provide wonderful drinking for the next fifteen to twenty years. A cracker. Drink 2026-2046.

Pale straw with a faint green hue. Alcohol 11.0%. Lime, lemon pith, crunchy green apple and white florals, with a subtle mineral character. Tight, precise and energetic. Lime and citrus run through a fine line of acidity. Excellent purity through the middle, with a chalky, almost talc-like texture that adds definition and length. The finish is dry, crisp and persistent, with lemon pith and lime lingering. Lime, crunchy apple and a chalky mineral finish. Pure, energetic and built to age. Drink now to 2035.
