Beautifully rounded texturally with refreshing acidity and a long, delicious finish.

Brilliant salmon copper tinged colour. Aromas of pear, red apple and a whiff of rosewater sail through the nostrils followed by hints of Turkish delight, quince and spice. Beautifully rounded texturally, the palate is layered with fleshy pear, red apple and blood orange fruits which meld into a delicate quince, musk and spice back drop. Refreshing acidity with a long, delicious finish that has a supple feel to it.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Other Reviews……
Salmon-copper in appearance, with aromas of watermelon rind, orange blossoms, pastry cream, wet stones and salted nuts. The palate is midweighted with lovely phenolics framing the fresh fruit and mineral drive. This is all about structure and texture, with a long, refreshing finish. One of Australia’s best examples of pinot gris. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Franco D’Anna is a master at Pinot Gris. Gets it.

Pear, strawberry, a rosy musky perfume and spice. It’s tight, but has some juiciness, there’s a fine emery grip to tannin, again the mouth-perfume, with a nutty and fresh finish of excellent length, a little blood orange in the aftertaste. The balance, the flavour, the texture, are all spot on here. So refreshing and good to drink. Drink 2026-2030.
