2025 Mulline Portarlington Chardonnay
Rich and concentrated with a long, enveloping and gently creamy finish.
Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Gorgeously refined, the nose offers up intense aromatics of white peach, nectarine, dried honey and cashew which are complimented by some biscuity nougat, faint crème brulee and spice notes. Rich, concentrated and fleshy in it’s texture, the mid weighted palate is layered with white peach, nectarine, cashew and dried honey flavours that display superb depth and drive. Biscuity nougat, crème brulee and spice characters lend further complexity. Fuller textured and richer than the Sutherlands Creek Chardonnay, it finishes long, enveloping and gently creamy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

From a vineyard on the water in Port Arlington planted in '94. 20% new French barriques; 15% mlf. A bright green gold. Another restrained, complex and beautifully crafted chardonnay from Mulline in '25! Subtle aromas of stone fruits, fresh honey and a hint of matchstick precede the gentle, impeccably balanced and long palate. Drink now and over the next three to four years. Drink by 2030.

Chardonnay from a 20+-year-old vineyard.
The 2024 release was “an absolute belter” and so too this 2025. This is enormously good. Stonefruit, nougat, flint, grilled pears; all these flavours get a run, all combine seamlessly, all present with excellent intensity and all soar out through the finish. Drink 2027-2032+
