2025 Lethbridge Pinot Gris
A dry, refreshing style of Pinot Gris that shows good tension.
Made in an Alsatian style with small batches wild fermentation in new French oak, a touch of skin contact and aging on fine lees. Fruit is sourced from the Henty and Geelong regions. Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue.
Elevated rosewater, pear and lychee scents are followed by distinct ginger spice notes. Elegant and refreshing, pear, lychee and lime fruits are underscored by crisp acidity. A mix of ginger spice, infusions of rosewater and flinty mineral elements lie underneath. Showing good tension it finishes dry and fresh with a lingering ginger spice character.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.4%
Other Reviews…..
Fermented and matured in stainless, wood and amphora. A light, bright colour. Another aromatic gris from Lethbridge with its aromas of pear, honey and spice. It's ripe and flavourful on the palate, but the key here is just how bright the acidity is, keeping this delicious wine balanced and fresh. Drink now and over the next two to three years.
