2025 Les Champs Libres Blanc (Chateau Lafleur) Pre-Arrival Offer
Other Reviews...
The 2025 Vin de France Les Champs Libres, crafted entirely from Sauvignon Blanc, reveals a vibrant bouquet of fresh fruit, confit citrus and a distinct mentholated hint. Medium- to full-bodied and dense yet precise, it is defined by racy acidity that brings energy and length, concluding with a long and ethereal finish that underscores its tension and clarity. As usual, this is a real success.

The 2025 Les Champs Libres was picked between August 20 and 22, pure Sauvignon Blanc as usual. This is a little more open for business on the nose compared to the Le Grand Village Blanc, with touches of gooseberry and lime, nicely focused and more forthcoming. The palate is fresh and citrus-driven, with lemon and lime, a dab of white pepper and a twist of bitter lemon towards the finish. Excellent. I could drink this now. Drink 2028-2034.

A vivid and tangy white with aromas of Asian pears, green apples and hints of crushed stones and salt. It’s medium-bodied, tight and bright, with al dente fruit at the end. 100% sauvignon blanc.

Minty citrus, crushed stone, and floral nuances all define the 2025 Les Champs Libres Blanc, a 100% Sauvignon Blanc that has a distinct limestone-driven character and sense of minerality. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a fresh, focused, elegant mouthfeel, vibrant acidity, and a great finish. It's chiseled, pure, mineral-laced, and incredibly long. If you see it, buy it.

Really fragrant with dried flowers, baked apples, elderflower, warming buttery caramel and toasted spices — the oak evident on the nose. Taut and finely constructed, this is excellent — smooth and balanced, a touch creamy as well as bright and zesty with just a gorgeous layering of flavourful elements. Crisp, sharp, round and slightly waxy, a real mix. Juicy, succulent and mouthwatering but at the same time this has depth and such interesting aromatics. Hard to put this in Bordeaux. Buttery, crisp and grippy yet salivating too. Great stuff here. 100% Sauvignon Blanc with some massal selection from Sauternes just coming into production. Now designated as a Vin de France as are all the other wines in the Lafleur range. Drink 2027-2036.
