2025 Giant Steps Pinot Noir

Sourced from vineyards across the Yarra Valley, 50% from the upper Yarra ranges, this entry level Pinot from Giant Steps was fermented with 32% whole bunch inclusion and matured in French oak (16% new) for a period of 8 months.

Rich, supple and expansive, this is an uber moreish Yarra Valley Pinot.

Dark red core with black toned edges and a vibrant red hue. Fragrant scents of violet, strawberry, red plum and cherry engulf the nostrils with complimenting notes of fresh herbs, subtle forest floor, bramble and spice ensuing. Rich, supple and expansive, the uber moreish palate is layered with dark cherry, strawberry and anise flavours. Notions of dried herbs, forest floor and spicy cedar the undercard. Intensely flavoured and powerful, it has silky smooth tannins and a long, sweeping finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

An opulent crimson purple. Explodes from the glass with its aromas of ripe cherries, raspberry coulis, lavender and spice. It's just so brightly fruited and juicy on the palate, too. Balanced acidity and tannins complete a superb and well-priced Yarra pinot to drink now and over the next three to four years. As good a Giant Steps entry point as I have tasted. Drink by 2030.
