2025 Gembrook Hill Sauvignon Blanc
Founded in 1983, Gembrook Hill is one of the Upper Yarra Valley's benchmark estates, planted on a cool, elevated site with volcanic soils that naturally lend themselves to producing fine-boned, age worthy wines. Over four decades on, the estate has become a reference point for the region, with wines built on clarity, restraint, and a deep sense of place.
Best Sauvignon Blanc of the Year - James Halliday's Wine Companion Awards
A long-standing benchmark in the Yarra, this Sauvignon Blanc shows the estate’s signature restraint and balance, offering a style that sits well apart from more fruit-driven interpretations of the variety.

From vines planted on an east-facing slope in Gembrook in '83. Barrel fermented in large format seasoned French oak. A very bright green gold. Punchy aromas of white peach, passionfruit pulp, nettles and white flowers. The palate is flavoursome and textured, balanced by the wine's racy acidity. An excellent Gembrook sauvignon blanc, of which there have been many over the years. Drink now and over the next six to eight years. Drink 2026-2034.

Philip Rich - James Halliday's Wine Companion
Gold star sauvignon blanc. One sip and I was both hooked and convinced. You don’t need to be a Sauvignon Blanc drinker to want to seek this wine out. It’s fine, structured, elegant and well powered, with complex length and all-round class. Stones, grapefruit rind, passionfruit, lemongrass and nectarine flavours mingler with woodsmoke and tonic water. It’s delicious. It’s impressive. And it’s super long. Drink 2027-2033+.
