2025 Coriole Nero
A juicy, intensely flavoured Nero d’Avola.
Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a vibrant red purple hue. Fragrant dark cherry, liquorice and earthy incense aromas blossom out of the glass trailed by some Mediterranean herb and spice notes. The mid weighted palate is awash with juicy dark cherry, red liquorice and red plum fruits which overlay an inky earth, incense, Mediterranean herb and spice infused back drop. Inky feel with plenty of energy, slightly chewy tannins and a long, bright yet succulent conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews…..
Made with 15% whole bunch; neutral oak for six months. A warm year, yet a frisky release, with a wild-fruited energy. Sour black cherry, damson plum, tart raspberry, a layering of ground white pepper, dried thyme and bay laurel. It starts to lean into sarsaparilla/chinotto, still taut and coiled, but with bitter alpine herbs, bushland scents and a savoury cola note. The fragrance unlocks with air, but this needs a little time in bottle to swell the palate. The quality is there, though. Drink by 2031.
