Rich, juicy and spicy with a chewy mouth feel.

A blend of 40% Grenache, 35% Mataro, 20% Shiraz, 2% Touriga and 2% Carignan. Black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated dark raspberry and liquorice aromas fill the nostrils followed by some dark cherry, earth, subtle vanillin spice and pepper notes. Rich juicy dark cherry, liquorice and raspberry fruits meld into an earthy back drop of vanillin spice and blackpepper. Slightly chewy mouth feel with polished yet sturdy tannins concluding long, spicy and generous.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews…..
Grenache 40%, Mataro 35%, Shiraz 20%, Touriga 2%, Carignan 2%. Grape varieties that do well in hot vintages have done their job here.
Cherry, raspberry, a bit of spice and perfume, some iron filings. It’s medium to full-bodied, raspberry coulis, a fresh blackberry and plum thing here, a certain nutty chew to tannin, balanced acidity, with a ferrous feel and grainy grip on a finish of good length. Rustic in a nice way, yet enjoyable all the same. A wine of interest that’s kind of charismatic, juicy and robust. Good. Drink 2026-2031+
