2025 Clos Clare Watervale Riesling

A mouth watering Watervale Riesling that boasts superb drive, concentration and tension.

Third generation winemakers Tom and Sam Barry of Jim Barry fame run the Clos Clare operation. This is their sixteenth vintage from Clos Clare's Riesling patch of 55 year old dry grown vines which adjoins the historic Jim Barry 'Florita' vineyard in Watervale.
Brilliant water like colour with a subtle tinge of green around the edges. Bounding out of the glass are intense aromas of lime, citrus and orange rind framed by chalky talc and steely mineral notes. Zesty lime, citrus and orange rind fruits race across the mouth watering palate. Steely mineral laced acidity with chalky talc elements lingering across the back half. Boasting superb drive, concentration and tension, it finishes long and crunchy.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
