2025 Chateau Doisy Daene (375ml) Pre-Arrival Offer
Once part of the original Doisy estate founded in 1704, Chateau Doisy Daene takes its name from Jacques Emmanuel Daane, an owner in the late nineteenth century who combined his surname with that of Doisy following the estate's division. After changing hands several times, the property was acquired in 1924 by the Dubourdieu family and gradually rebuilt and expanded to its current 18.2 hectares. The Barsac vineyard, located close to Chateau Climens, is planted predominantly to Semillon with a smaller proportion of Sauvignon Blanc, on red sand, clay and limestone soils. Alongside its Sauternes, the estate is notable for producing one of the appellation's earliest dry white wines, bottled as Doisy Daene Grand Vin Sec, as well as the rare and highly selective l’Extravagance de Doisy Daene in exceptional vintages.
Other Reviews...
The 2025 Doisy-Daëne is aromatic, lifted and sculpted. Green apple, pear, jasmine and crushed rocks are finely delineated in an airy Barsac that has so much to offer. The 2025 can be enjoyed young for its freshness, but it clearly has the energy and pedigree to age into an exceptional sweet wine over time. Drink 2035-2065.

Dense and creamy, with honey and spice aromas. Medium-bodied with a delicious pastry and spice character balancing the sweetness. Elegant and flavorful.

Sweet and pure, this has real clarity with a lightly framed core of stone peach fruit and cool baked apple flavours. Lacks a touch of flesh. I like the cool lemon and lime, peach and pear but this isn’t super long. It’s refined with purity but want more. Ends stony and mineral which is nice. Drink 2027-2046.
