2025 Brokenwood Chardonnay
Deep and concentrated with a fleshy textural feel and subtle mineral zing across the long finish.
Fruit was sourced primarily from Beechworth (70%) with some additional inputs from the Yarra Valley (19%) and Hunter Valley (11%). It was fermented using natural yeast in French oak barrels, 32% new oak, with a small portion fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with green tinted edges and a watery hue. Attractive white peach, nectarine and dried honey scents drift from the glass with some biscuity nougat, cashew and spice notes ensuing. Mid weighted, generous white peach and nectarine fruits carry a fleshy textural feel over a citrusy nougat, subtle dried honey, cashew and spice back drop. Excellent concentration and depth with fresh underlying acidity lending a subtle mineral zing across the long, gently creamed finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
