2025 Bindi Wines Dhillon Glenhope Vineyard Riesling
Macedon Ranges, Victoria, AUSTRALIA
Lively lime, green pear and lemon fruits with a river stone like shape and racy, mineral laced finish.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with green toned edges and a watery hue. Leading the way are lime and lemon aromas which are trailed by some green apple skin and subtle smoky mineral notes. Lively lime, green pear and lemon fruits make a river stone like shaped entrance with delicate green apple skin, wet steel and mineral elements cast across the back half. Vivid acidity lending tension across the racy, mineral laced finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%
Other Reviews…..
A bit of lees, a bit of barrel time, a lot of consideration. From the Glenhope Vineyard on granite soils at 430 metres above sea level. What can’t Michael Dhillon do? This wine puts me in mind of riesling I like drinking, a far cry away from classic dry white riesling 101 made in inert, clinical styles.
Glassy textured, crisp green apples, a sprig of ginger, water cracker, some sourdough yeast underlying, a pleasing waxy finish of substantial length and freshness. Perfumed, flavoursome, refreshing, interesting. Savoury and saline. Flavour and yet compact. Proper riesling here. Drink 2025-2035.
