2025 Bindi Dixon Pinot Noir
Macedon, Victoria, AUSTRALIA
Perfumed, energetic and fleshy textured with a long, generously fruited finish.
Bindi is one of Australia’s most respected small estates, producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of purity and finesse. The vines grow in a mix of ancient Ordovician soils and volcanic slopes in the Macedon Ranges, farmed with sustainable, low-intervention methods and intensive handwork. In the winery, natural fermentations, long lees ageing, and gentle handling capture the seasonal expression of this remarkable landscape.
Sourced from the 1988 Pinot Noir plantings and the 2001 Kaye vineyard, the Dixon is bottled earlier than Bindi’s other Pinots (10 months in oak, 20% new).
Deep dark red core with black toned edges and a red purple tinged hue. Perfumed violet, dark cherry and strawberry scents engulf the olfactory senses followed by some anise, hints of toasty cedar, dried herbs, earth and spice. Juicy dark cherry, red plum and strawberry fruits meld into an anise, subtle toasty cedar, dried herb, forest floor and spice back drop. Energetic and fleshy textured is possesses excellent concentration, polished yet faintly chalky tannins and a long, fresh, generously fruited finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Vibrant red fruit and lovely tension here, showing layers of cranberries, fresh cherries and wet stones with an earthy, reductive and gamy undertone. The palate is bright and crunchy with fine-tuned acidity and tannins, leading to a mouthwatering finish. By no means whimsical, this has classic pinot nuance yet is so enjoyable now. Drink or hold.
