A soft, fleshy Shiraz laden with toasty oak.

Certified organic with maturation taking place in new French oak for a period of 18 months. Deep black dark red colour with a dark purple red hue. Elevated liquorice and dark plum aromas mix with scorched earth and peppered dried herb notes. Juicy dark plum and liquorice fruits are underscored by dried clove, vanillin cedar and peppered earth characters. Soft, fleshy texture with polished tannins and a toasty oak laden finish
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

For me, this is the pick of the Sakura range. Organic Shiraz from the Central Ranges in New South Wales, the colour is a gleaming magenta. The nose gives us notes of chocolate, mocha, cold tea, charcuterie, blackberries, florals, boysenberries and spices. A lifted style which is seamless in structure, through to very fine and sleek tannins, offering a line of bright acidity. The wine is well balanced throughout and there is good length. A wine for enjoying anytime over the next six to eight years. Drink 2026-2034.
