A rich, densely concentrated and super plush Barossa Shiraz that displays magnificent power.

A single site expression from Turkey Flat’s Stonewell vineyard that’s matured in French oak puncheons (45% new) for 18 months.
Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark purple black hue. Seductive aromas of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and dark chocolate waft through the nostrils with great potency. Spicy mocha, vanillin oak and earth notes ensue. Rich, densely concentrated and super plush, the weighty palate is laden with opulent dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and earthy dark chocolate flavours. Spicy mocha, vanillin oak and subtle peppered fennel elements are layered across the back half. Boasting magnificent power, textural volume and breadth, it has silky smooth tannins and a long, sumptuous finish.
Drink over the next 8-10 years.

Other Reviews…..
Single vineyard Barossa Valley shiraz from the Stonewell Vineyard on Seppeltsfield Road. Matured in 100% French oak, 45% new.
A significant volume of dark, inky, blackberried fruit flavour comes walled with a significant spread of firm, dry, authoritative tannin. The word monumental springs to mind, though balance too is a key feature – within a context of all-over size. Musk, plum, dark chocolate, asphalt, rust, roasted peppercorns and saltbush notes all play roles, though all too come rolled as one. There’s a bright, saturated-red-roses element to this wine which is most beguiling. There’s genuine swagger too, served as svelte as you can imagine.
