2024 Ring Bolt Chardonnay
Rich, creamy textured flavours counter balanced by lively acidity.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with a distinctive green tint around the edges and a watery hue. Pear and ripe nectarine aromas mix with dried honey, biscuity oak, citrusy nougat and spice notes. Rich, creamy textured white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours are counter balanced by lively acidity. Biscuity nougat, citrus and spice elements lie underneath. Fresh, cream tinged finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
It’s the dead of winter, my house is a construction site, running more than one appliance short circuits the power, and I cohabitate with a small family of possums. Honestly, I’m fine. Disclaimer: I’m not fine. So, when wines like this land on my desk, they are welcomed moments of reprieve. Clean, bright, and soul warming, its fruits are ripe with white nectarine, pears in juice and a gentle lean into tropical territory. The mid-palate balances a comforting fruit sweetness, coated with a clotted cream silkiness. Some savoury barrel ferment, a dusting of spice and cashew nougat on the finish makes for a slick, well positioned wine. A classic modern Australian expression, and a welcomed silver (golden) lining.
